I love making new connections on Twitter — every dot connects, right? Unfortunately, spammers have found Twitter too, and while the service is making attempts to eliminate spam, I have turned off email notifications for new followers. That means I won’t know if you add me as a friend on Twitter.
There’s an easy way to connect with me, though: just send a “tweet” that begins with the @ symbol and my username at the very beginning, like this –

About Connie
Connie Reece specializes in developing marketing and communications programs that use Web 2.0 tools and technologies. Her engaging personality and interactive presentation style result in enjoyable, effective meetings as she shows how social media integrates with traditional marketing and PR; how social networks can be used internally, to open up corporate culture; and externally, to cultivate clients and increase visibility online.
Presentation topics include social media, social networking, blogging and microblogging, podcasts and vlogs, virtual worlds, social bookmarking, marketing and advertising trends, blogger relations, public relations in the age of Google, and using social media for social good.
Connie is a co-founding member and serves on the advisory board of the Social Media Club, an international association for new and emerging media professionals. She is also the founder of Every Dot Connects, a consortium of marketing and media practitioners who are passionate about using new technologies to build bridges between people and ideas and causes. When a friend was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2007, Connie created the Frozen Pea Fund, now incorporated as a nonprofit organization with the mission of funding breast cancer research, education and programs.
Connie is active in the virtual world Second Life and maintains office hours in-world. She enjoys teleporting around the grid to attend business events, educational seminars and casual get-togethers, or to spend some time relaxing at her oceanside villa.
She has become a popular conference speaker and, working with fellow Every Dot Connects team members, has launched a series of hands-on workshops to teach the basics of popular Web 2.0 tools. Connie and the Every Dot Connects team are also available for strategic consulting or on-site training.
