Tricia Hall, CMP, CAE, has been a meeting professional for 26 years. She began her meeting management career in 1986, working for a state judicial training organization. In 1996 Tricia joined Texas Medical Association, where during her tenure she managed and served as the executive director for four various medical specialty societies. In 2002, after relocating to New Mexico, she founded her own company specializing in meeting planning, association management, hotel contract negotiations, training and consulting.
Tricia has experience in association management, strategic planning, board governance, and all aspects of meeting planning, including continuing education programming and grant writing. She has extensive speaking and training experience, having created and/or taught programs for MPI, IAEE, PCMA and TSAE at the state and national level. She co-taught the SGMP National CMP course for many years, and was for three years the sole instructor of the 3-day intensive study course for SGMP.
She currently serves as the director for the Association for Child Psychoanalysis, a national group of 600 members. She also serves as meeting planner and/or hotel contractor for Texas Transplantation Society, Texas Club of Internists, Lumbermen’s Association of Texas, and the National Investor Relations Institute, DFW Chapter.
She currently serves on the boards of New Mexico Society of Association Executives, Meeting Professionals International New Mexico Chapter, Las Cruces Convention Center Meeting Planner Task Force, and is chapter advisor for New Mexico MPI and Program Committee as well as the NMSAE membership committee. From 2007 until 2011 she served on Austin Convention Center Customer Advisory Board. Previously she served as President of Texas Hill Country Chapter of Meeting Professionals International and also President of New Mexico Chapter of Meeting Professionals International
Tricia has won the following awards: Texas Society of Association Executives Professional Excellence Award; President’s Award, MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter; Meeting Planner of the Year (MPI THCC); President’s Award NM-MPI; Member of the Year NM-MPI.
